NQT of Science - Portsmouth School - September 2019

You will be inducted upon a programme for NQTs across the Academy trust to allow you to be supported by and learn from experienced teachers and practitioners within the schools. The induction programme aims to welcome its new teachers, building their self confidence and teaching standards throughout the most important year of your career. Regular contact time with your mentor is prioritised, alongside the strict following of your classroom hours and PPA allowance. You will have regular contact with other NQTs in the trust, feeling supported through your learning journey from teachers in all stages of their career.

What are the school looking for?

The school are in search of talented teachers who are finishing their final placements in the SCITT or PGCE programme. You should be a wishing to embark upon a learning journey that will nurture you and guide you into your career.

You should be:

  • NQT of Science for September
  • Looking for full time employment
  • Dedicated to completing your NQT year for September 2020
  • Have excellent references from your placement schools
  • Specialism in one Science

The school is located a short walk from Portsmouth and Southsea train station near the centre of the city. Its most recent Ofsted has been graded as 'Good' with elements of outstanding in it SLT leadership and communication. A relatively small school for the area it is in, the school prides itself on treating all students as individuals and celebrating all of their accomplishments.
