We are working closely with an established special needs school based in Ealing who are looking to appoint a Secondary Music Teacher to teach music sessions to small classes of autistic learners. The school based in Southall, Ealing provides for learning for children diagnosed with autism spectrum condition. The school has both a Secondary and Primary department with the successful music teacher working in the school’s Secondary department.
The role is full-time starting in September 2020 and will be for two terms minimally with potential for permanent opportunities. Music Teachers will be expected to plan and deliver 1:1 and in small groups lessons, record and report progress alongside attend meetings, liaise with parents and guardians.
Those with relevant teaching and music qualifications will be prioritised due to specialism required. Having SEN experience is preferred due to the complex needs of pupils, but all qualified Music Teachers are welcome to apply.

If you are a QUALIFIED MUSIC TEACHER with experience in any of the following send your CV today:
- Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, Sensory impairments and speech difficulties
- Use of sensory and visual resources such as PECS, TEACCH, Makaton etc
- Special School or Mainstream Secondary experience in the United Kingdom
- De-escalation training such as Team Teach or Positive Behaviour Support
All Secondary Music Teachers interested in this position in EALING must be willing to interview prior and provide relevant documentation, qualifications, and references to work in schools with vulnerable children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
