Job description

At TP Tutors we have an exciting opportunity to help young children with achieving their academic goals within maths, in the new academic year. This role will require someone who can create and plan exciting and engaging sessions to maximise the children’s potential, take initiative and work independently but with guidance from the lead in school. 

The role:

  • Working 1:1 or with small groups of Alternative Provision pupils in a school setting
  • Planning engaging sessions with the support of the head of maths
  • Track pupil progress and provide feedback to the lead in school
  • Follow provided timetable
  • Be undertsanding and aware of the pupils SEN/SEMH needs
  • Implement school behaviour strategies to ensure pupils are focussed and making progress 

The requirements:

  • QTS is preferred, but we will consider someone with substantial tutoring experience with Alt Pro pupils and strong knowledge of the maths curriculum
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes.
  • Enhanced child workforce only DBS on the DBS update service (support in obtaining one can be provided).
  • Professional references from your two most recent employers – totalling 2 years from a 10 year career history.

To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of this as skills and experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
