An All-Girls secondary school located in Greater Manchester is looking to recruit a vibrant female Maths Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis to support Key Stage 3 and 4 students. The Maths teaching assistant position will commence from January 7th 2019 and will continue for one full term. However there will be an opportunity to extend the contract until the end of the academic year. As a Maths Teaching Assistant you will need to have a background in maths from at least a graduate level, however the secondary school is willing to take on the right candidate who has achieved a high level of success from Maths at A-Level. You must be an ideal role model for young girls for this teaching assistant role as well as having a passion for Mathematics by assisting the teachers in the established maths department.

As a teaching assistant you will be able to enhance your career in secondary education as you can grow and develop your teaching skills. Whilst working with the Maths department, you will also be able to increase your subject knowledge in Maths. As a Maths Teaching Assistant your weekly timetable will consist of working closely with Maths teachers and supporting students in small groups and on a one to one basis. There is the opportunity to increase your responsibilities and learn teaching skills as the school can provide CPD opportunities.
The All-girls secondary school has a variety of students with EAL and other Special Educational Needs. Having experience working with EAL and SEN students is desirable but not essential. But it is essential to be confident with Key Stage 3 and 4 in Maths as you will be monitoring the student's progression on a one to one basis as well as working on small groups. The secondary school has positive Ofsted Reports and having progress 8 score higher than average. The school is situated near public transport that is of walking distance to the school. There is also a secure a carpark for staff.

**Paid weekly ranging from £275-£325 (depending on experience)
**Learning and developing with the Maths Department whilst supporting in their lessons
**Working with students on a one to one basis as well as working on small groups
**Accessible public transport from the high school
