Maths Teacher required for OFSTED Good Tameside Catholic Secondary School.
Maths teacher required on a full time basis from Easter 2018 to the end of the academic year initially.
*Full time teacher of Mathematics
*Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4
*Experienced and NQT teachers welcome to apply for this opportunity
*Fixed Term contract within the Mathematics department
*Pay in line with MPS and UPS
Due to a gap in the Maths department, an exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of a mathematics teacher until the end of the academic year initially. The incoming teacher will be expected to deliver the mathematics curriculum across the ability range from KS3 to GCSE.
This secondary school has roughly 800 pupils on roll and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas of Cheshire, Derbyshire and Manchester. It proudly boasts a recent outstanding OFSTED report and has separately been graded as outstanding by the Salford Diocese in their catholic inspection.
Joining this teaching team as a Maths teacher means you would be given the full support of a skilled leadership team where teaching and learning is highly effective. You would be part of a Maths department which is the top school in Tameside for progress and attainment currently. In 2017, pupils' outcomes across the school were the best in the school's history. Pupils' rates of progress, from their different starting points, were above national averages in many subjects, including Mathematics.
Within this outstanding Tameside Catholic Secondary school, most students are of White British heritage. The proportion of pupils who speak English as an additional language is much smaller than the national average and the number of SEN pupils is above the national average. Located on the outskirts of Tameside, the School is easily accessible and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas along with key roads and motorway connections.
To apply for this excellent opportunity, you will need to email an up to date CV through to Rob via the link below.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
