The Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping pupils make the transition into Key Stage 1, building strong foundations for future learning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons that align with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Creating a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
• Monitoring, assessing, and recording pupil progress to ensure positive outcomes.
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of individual pupils.
• Supporting children's academic, social, and emotional development.
• Working closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to promote pupil achievement and wellbeing.
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, learning, and personal development.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
• The ability to deliver inspiring lessons that engage and challenge learners.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• A genuine passion for education and helping children develop confidence and a love of learning.
