Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a fantastic primary school in Salford to recruit a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a full-time position starting in October 2026.

About the Role

As the Year 1 Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils as they progress through Key Stage 1. You will deliver engaging and creative lessons that inspire young learners while ensuring all children are supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 1 National Curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing effective feedback and support.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and encouraged.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of children with varying abilities and learning styles.
• Foster positive behaviour and promote high expectations for learning and achievement.
• Build strong relationships with parents, colleagues, and the wider school community.
• Contribute to school events, initiatives, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in a Year 1 classroom.
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Deliver engaging and creative lessons that support pupils of all abilities.
• Be confident in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Possess excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Be a positive and committed team player with a passion for primary education.
