Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Salford from November 2026 on a full-time basis.

About the Role

As the Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that support pupils as they transition through Key Stage 1. You will create a stimulating classroom environment, foster a love of learning, and ensure all children are challenged and supported appropriately.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and attendance.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
• Contribute to the wider school community and school events.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Deliver creative and engaging lessons that inspire young learners.
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Be committed to supporting every child to reach their potential.
• Work effectively as part of a collaborative school team.
