The Role

The successful Year 6 Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that support pupils academically and personally throughout this important stage of their education.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for SATs while maintaining a broad and engaging curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, attainment, and engagement.
• Work closely with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to support pupil success.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
• Has a good understanding of SATs preparation and assessment requirements.
• Is passionate about helping pupils reach their full potential.
• Builds positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
• Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to the role.
• Maintains high expectations for teaching and learning.
