Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Rusholme, which is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team from October 2026.

The Role
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that inspire, challenge, and support pupils during this crucial stage of their primary education. You will help pupils develop the academic knowledge, confidence, and resilience needed for a successful transition to secondary school.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Prepare pupils for SATs and their transition to secondary school while maintaining a positive and balanced learning experience.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using data effectively to inform planning and support attainment.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and motivated to achieve.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies that promote a positive learning culture.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents, and carers to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
About You
We are looking for a passionate and committed teacher who can inspire confidence, resilience, and academic success in Year 6 pupils.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, with Year 6 experience desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and end-of-Key Stage assessment requirements.
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence using technology to support and enhance teaching and learning.
- A genuine passion for helping every child achieve their full potential.
Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with strong Key Stage 2 placement experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
