Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Stretford to recruit an enthusiastic Year 6 Class Teacher for a full-time position starting in October 2026.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing pupils for SATs, supporting their transition to secondary school, and helping them achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role

As the Year 6 Class Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes high levels of learning and achievement.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed.
• Prepare pupils effectively for SATs and support a smooth transition to secondary education.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attainment, and pupil wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil success.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Can effectively differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Is committed to raising standards and helping every child achieve success.
• Is a positive and collaborative team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
