Inspire and Prepare Pupils for the Next Stage of Their Education

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Wythenshawe that is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher from November 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a committed school community and lead a Year 6 class during an important stage of their educational journey. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils to achieve strong academic outcomes while helping them develop the confidence, resilience, and skills needed for a successful transition to secondary school.

The Role

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Support pupils in working towards SATs through effective, targeted teaching and intervention
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure positive outcomes for all learners
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and personal development
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to maximise pupil achievement and wellbeing
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and attainment

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally within Year 6
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Have a secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements
• Be able to adapt lessons to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners
• Be committed to raising standards and achieving the best outcomes for pupils
• Be a positive, proactive, and reflective practitioner
