Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Irlam to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a full-time position starting in October 2026.

The Role

As the Year 1 Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. You will work closely with colleagues and support staff to ensure all pupils are supported and challenged to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting learning to meet individual needs
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Differentiate teaching to support learners of varying abilities
  • Promote pupils' wellbeing, confidence, and personal development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community and school initiatives

✅ The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Can engage and motivate pupils through creative and inspiring lessons
  • Has a sound understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Uses technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning
  • Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for education
