The Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. You will work closely with colleagues, teaching assistants, and families to create a positive learning experience for all children.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
• Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities and learning styles
• Promote pupil wellbeing, confidence, and independence
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
• Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Can inspire and motivate pupils through engaging lessons
• Has a secure understanding of the National Curriculum
• Uses assessment effectively to drive pupil progress
• Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills
• Is enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to helping every child succeed
