Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Irlam to recruit a passionate Year 1 Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.

The Role

As the school's Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that foster curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure all pupils receive the support and challenge they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community and participate in professional development opportunities

The Successful Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Can effectively engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities
  • Has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Is confident using technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Possesses strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
