Job description

Teaching Personnel are excited to be seeking a passionate Maths Teacher (NQT, FQT or OTT) for an SEMH provision based in Lingwood.
You will play a key role in encouraging confidence and ensuring pupils have access to their education entitlement; by teaching Maths at GCSE level to pupils who display challenging behaviour and Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues (SEMH).
The School
Encouraging the development and confidence of each pupil means that activities take place both on and off the school site, with regular day trips out. At this friendly school, there is a strong focus on the promotion of well-being as well as vocational and academic programmes, which parents and carers are frequently involved in. This is a smaller school with spaces of up to 30 full-time pupils at one time, meaning that class sizes are smaller with around 6-8 pupils per class. Each class also as additional staffing, with at least 2 teaching assistants per class.
Benefits
- A rewarding position, where no two days will be the same
- Smaller Class Sizes, with additional support means that you spend more time teaching
- A very supportive and enthusiastic school team
The Successful Applicant
- Must be a qualified teacher with experience teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4.
- Should either have experience of working with students with SEMH, communication difficulties or complex needs or have a strong interest and a passion to teach pupils with SEN.
Please apply now and we will be in touch shortly.
