Large Bolton based secondary Academy are seeking a skilled full-time Maths teacher for an open gap from April 2019 initially for twelve months.

Teaching Personnel are working with a forward thinking and exceptionally resourced Maths department within an Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary Academy to appoint a dynamic Maths teacher to join their high performing team.

  • Full time Maths teacher required April 2019, initially for twelve months.
  • Must hold QTS alongside subject specific equalisation within Mathematics.
  • Applications are urged from both experienced and newly qualified Maths teachers.
  • Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded 'Good' Academy.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406 per annum.

This smaller than average secondary Academy located in the Farnworth district of Bolton, bordering with neighbouring Bury has just under 500 pupils on roll aged 11- 16. The academy is led by the guidance of its Senior Leadership Team.

The incoming Maths teacher will be required to;

  • Motivate, challenge and inspire pupils within the Maths department across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Be committed to raising the achievement of every pupil at all levels of learning.
  • Have high expectations and be committed to the school values, ethos and vision;
  • Be enthusiastic, resourceful and keen to ensure the highest standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well-being are achieved.

Located less than a few miles away from the Bolton City Centre, the Academy is perfectly situated to be accessible via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Salford and Chorley. Public Transport Links are also easily accessible, with the Bus and Train station a few miles away from the Academy.
