Maths Teacher - Wigan

Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a mixed secondary school located in the outskirts of Wigan with their recruitment needs as they look to appoint a Maths teacher on a full-time basis from October 2019.

Due to an upcoming maternity leave within the schools Maths department, the head teacher of this secondary school in Wigan is looking to appoint a Teacher of Maths to join their welcoming and thriving team after the October half term until April in the first instance.

  • Full-time Maths teacher
  • October 2019 to April 2020 initially
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS - ÂŁ23,720 - ÂŁ39,406
  • Teaching a full Maths timetable across KS3 and KS4
  • Working in a well structured and high achieving secondary school in Wigan
  • Ofsted rated 'Good' in the last inspection
  • Post available to both Newly Qualified Maths Teachers and those with experience

The successful Maths teacher will deliver a full timetable in line with the current national curriculum consisting of both KS3 and GCSE maths. It is essential that you will be comfortable delivering lessons to all pupil abilities and be flexible in your approach to teaching. Taking on full departmental responsibility, the successful Maths teacher will engage in planning and marking, revision sessions, internal training and parent's evening when required.

The incoming Maths teacher will join a thriving and inclusive secondary school in Wigan. The school boats modern learning facilities and is looking for a Maths teacher to join their team who will deliver inspiring and engaging maths lessons to encourage pupil to reach their full potential in the subject. Located on the outskirts of Wigan, the secondary school can be reached off the M6 motorway close to the Shevington Moor exit and via local public transport links including trains and buses.
