Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at a fast-improving, mixed comprehensive secondary school located in the heart of Upminster, Essex, known for its dedication to excellence, innovation in education, and a supportive community ethos. We are eagerly seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join our dedicated team from September 2024.

Role: Maths Teacher
Gender of entry: Mixed
Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent

Responsibilities:
*
Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.
*
Utilize innovative teaching methods and digital resources to enhance student learning experiences.
*
Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
*
Contribute to the creation of a stimulating learning environment.
*
Participate in and contribute to departmental meetings, school training, and development sessions.
*
Actively involve in developing schemes of work and curriculum planning in line with national standards.

Requirements:
*
Possess a recognized teaching qualification in Mathematics (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
*
Demonstrable experience in teaching Mathematics at secondary school level.
*
Strong understanding of the current curriculum and assessment frameworks.
*
Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Commitment to professional development and willingness to engage in further training.
*
A proactive team player who contributes to the wider school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
