Teaching Personnel are looking for: 

  • Maths teachers located around the Tameside area, that are seeking day to day or long term work in September 2020. 

It is essential that the applicant: 

  • Holds a degree (preferably in Maths) 

  • Has a proven track record in the delivery of high quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (experience teaching A-Level Maths syllabus is highly desirable)

  • Can effectively manage day to day school factors, as well as any pastoral issues that may arise. 

This role presents itself as the ideal opportunity for teachers looking for long term, temporary/flexible work once schools have resumed.  It is essential that the required applicant is able to confidently deliver high quality Maths lessons up to GCSE. 

 

Pay for this role annually: GBP24,373 - GBP40,490.

 

The required teacher should be able to: 
  • Deliver school's Maths curriculum efficiently, whilst also being able to work with students with SEN. 

  • Identify pupils who require additional support – successfully catering for the individual needs of specific pupils (e.g SEN and pupils whose primary language is not English.

  • Create adequate educational resources, ensuring that these meet the needs of all pupils within the class.

  • Set homework tasks that are efficient in enabling students to reflect on learning, whilst continually highlighting areas for improvement.

  • Working with students on a 1:1 basis, and being able to readily look to improve individual attainment. 

  • Provide continuous feedback to students based on progress, as well as engaging subject leaders with regards to progression and overall performance.

 

Additionally, it is essential that the applicant will be able to build positive working relationships with staff and students.
