Maths Teacher - Tameside

• Full time Maths teaching post for September 2017
• Pay ranging from £95-£150 per day

Tameside based Secondary school require a Maths teacher for September due to a staff departure within the Maths department. A full time role the successful Mathematician will be teaching Maths across all year groups with a preference for a teacher of Maths who has a proven track record at GCSE level.

The school has over 700 students and is situated in a diverse catchment area, with high levels of students eligible for free school meals and moderate levels of students who use English as an additional language.

The school currently achieve below their expected Progress 8 targets but just above national averages with 59% of students achieving at least a Grade C in Maths and English. This post will be on an initial temporary basis with the potential to earn a school based contract. Situated in the SK14 post code of Tameside the school has regular bus routes and a train station under a mile away. The school is a traditional mixed comprehensive with a large Maths department consisting of seven full time Maths teachers.

You will need to attend interviews as planned by the school before the end of the academic year to be eligible for this post. You will be required to have acceptable school based references and a fully enhanced DBS to be eligible for this post.
