- £120 - £170 daily rate
A school based in Merton, South West London requires a dynamic and enthusiastic Maths teacher to join their successful Maths department on a full time basis. The school has an outstanding record of GCSE grades with the number of students achieving a C grade of above at GCSE level, well above the national average and one of the best in the borough. There is a large and secure staff car park on site and the school is easily accessible by car and public transport.
You will be required to plan and deliver excellent lessons to a wide range of abilities and ages. Ideally you will have experience teaching in a UK secondary school teaching Maths up to KS5 level. A desire to inspire young minds and raise the expected grades of students is a must, the role may also include you working with small groups providing intervention sessions for those requiring additional help.
The Head Teacher believes strongly in promoting from within the school and the schools senior leadership team is made up almost entirely of teachers who started in various teaching positions at the school. Therefore you will be joining a school with an excellent atmosphere and a friendly maths department, in addition to this your daily rate can be negotiated depending on experience and skills as the Head wants to get the ideal candidate that fits the school perfectly.
