Job description

Are you a fully qualified maths teacher who is looking for the opportunity to work in an alternative provision school to support children and help them to achieve their goals?

We have an opportunity for you to join a fantastic team in helping key stage 3 and key stage 4 students. The staff support each other throughout the day to make sure that the best care is given to the students. It is important to be able to build strong bonds with the students in order for them to trust you and learn.

The leadership team have worked together to create an environment where the students feel safe and comfortable whilst they are in their care, each pupil has struggled in some way in mainstream school whether it be behavioural or social problems. The team work hard to make sure that it is a place where students want to be, by encouraging them and breaking down any barriers they have previously had towards school life and education.

  • The working hours are 8.30am–3.30pm (full-time)
  • Specialist provision- Sefton
  • Pay in line with Teaching Scale point £28,000-£43,685.

Pupils are able to work in small classes, allowing staff to be able to work more closely with individual children, ensuring that all their needs are being met. The leadership team work together to create trustworthy relationships and aim to re-engage them in order to place them back into mainstream schools.

The ideal maths teacher would be somebody who is very resilient and can engage students, breaking down any barriers they may have previously had with learning and education. You will be positive and can work closely with both staff and students to ensure that the students reach their goals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
