Maths Teacher – Hyde (Tameside) – September 2025 Start

Location:Hyde, Tameside
Position:Maths Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
Start Date:September 2025
Contract:Full-time, long-term (potential to go permanent)
Salary:MPS/UPS – £31650 to £49084 (dependent on experience)

A thriving secondary school located in Hydeis looking to appoint a committed and skilled Maths Teacherto join their successful Mathematics department from September 2025.

This role is ideal for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs)seeking a supportive induction year and experienced teachers looking for a fresh challenge in a well-resourced, forward-thinking school with strong leadership and excellent student behaviour.

The Role:

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 may be available for suitable candidates)

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that cater to mixed abilities

  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback

  • Take part in departmental planning and whole-school initiatives

  • Inspire students to develop a love for Maths and achieve their full potential

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A Maths-related degree and sound subject knowledge

  • Recent experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3/KS4)

  • A strong classroom presence and effective behaviour management skills

  • Passion for Maths education and pupil progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
