A large Secondary school in Bury have a requirement for a Mathematics teacher from Easter to cover a maternity. This position is initially being offered for 12 months; however there is the opportunity to gain a permanent position after the maternity cover is completed.
- Full time Mathematics teaching position, KS3 and GCSE
- Planning, delivering and assessing lessons in line with the curriculum
- Collaborative support from the high achieving department
- Pay in line with MPS (up to £33,160 per annum)
This full time Mathematics role is ideal for a teacher seeking to gain an introduction to an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school with ‘Outstanding’ leadership and management. Experience of the Progress 8 marking scheme is desired along with previous experience teaching GCSE groups.
The school is located within the Bury LEA, near to Radcliffe, and is accessible via public transportation links from Manchester city centre. The appointed teacher of Mathematics will be expected to follow the ethos of the school that ‘every student can achieve excellence’ and whilst you will receive full support from the Maths department, you will be expected to differentiate work to meet the abilities of students.
