A Catholic school based in Kingston are currently seeking a teacher of Mathematics to work on a full time basis from September till the end of the academic year. The school are looking to interview for the Maths position in the next two weeks.

Requirements

• The school are looking for candidates with UK recognised teaching qualifications such as PGCE or QTS.
• Newly Qualified Teachers would be welcome in this position, but has have taught Maths for their PGCE placement and be able to provide reference for this role
• Teachers would require experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level (from KS3-KS5) for more than 2 years
• Expect an eager teacher with good behaviour control.
• Must have right to work in the UK and an Enhanced Child workforce DBS

About the role

• A secondary school based in Kingston are looking to hire fully qualified Mathematics Teachers, with experience teaching at KS3-5.
• The role is a full time placement, working on a long term basis with the start date after the summer break.
• Pay rates will be dependent on experience and education and will vary between £130 and £230 a day.
• Will be expected to create engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum whilst having good behaviour control.
• Teachers will be expected to plan and prepare lessons as well as marking, assessing and providing feedback on the students work.
• Teachers who are willing and able to work in the school as general cover would be ideal, but not necessary.
• The ideal candidate would be willing to participate in school activities or extra curricular activities; any experience with SEN would be welcome.

The school looking to hire is based in the Kingston and is steeped in history, with its origin dating back more than 100 years. Despite the historic nature of the school it has newly developed building with modern facilities, including 3GX pitches, fully equipped ICT suites, Smart White Boards, SIMS and many others.

The Leadership are looking to develop the depth of the Mathematics curriculum and are looking to hire teachers with strong subject knowledge above all else. There are positions available for two strong Mathematics teachers who can work at KS3-5 level, with one of these positions open to Newly Qualified Teachers (a large amount of experience is not necessary for this specific role).

Alongside the facilities, aimed at assisting the students' learning, the school ensure classes have sufficient support staff to manage behaviour and provide all children with the opportunity to succeed.
