Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Are you currently working on day to day or long term supply? Is your role likely to come to an end in the coming weeks? Then please continue to read over this specification as you may have just found your prefect role.
A large school, a mile from the centre of Blackburn, have contacted the agency in order to source and appoint a long term Y4 class teacher to cover a maternity in school. The role will start on December 3rd 2018 and continue for a minimum of 9 months, possibly 12 months. In this role, you will assume full responsibility for the Y4 class and be expected to plan, deliver and assess in line with the KS2 Curriculum. As part of the class teacher role, there will also be an expectation to get involved in the wider teacher role which may involve the participation at INSET, twilight sessions and after-school clubs. From five years experience with the current school, I am in a position to state that the Head teacher and Senior Leadership Team are very supportive and will provide a solid foundation for you to come in and enjoy your time in school. The Head teacher has been in post for a number of years and is well connected in the local area; he works as part of the school improvement group and so you will receive excellent facilities to ensure the children in the class make GOOD and OUTSTANDING progress.
The role is full time and begins on December 3rd.
The role will continue for at least 9 months and possibly longer depending on how long the lady takes off.
There is an expectation for you to facilitate learning to ensure you give the children in your class the best opportunity to make GOOD progress.
The Head teacher is keen to see CVs of prospective candidates who have Qualified Teacher Status and experience working in KS2 classes.
You must also be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management techniques as there are children in this class who will disrupt and not always engage in the routine of the lessons.
You must be able to use your experiences to develop the children's understanding of the Curriculum and their knowledge of the real world.
Do not hesitate to contact me in the office, we have placed a number of candidates already this year - take a look over the GOOGLE REVIEWS we have received if you have any sort of reservation?
