A School based in the Leyland area are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support their pupils. The School caters for pupils who can no longer remain in mainstream education for a number of reasons. The School are looking for a hard working, enthusiastic, empathetic and experienced Teaching Assistant who can work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who have SEN and often display challenging behaviours. The School are hoping to appoint a long term, even permanent member of staff, to start as soon as possible.
The School is smaller than average with approximately 50 pupils on roll. The School are looking for a candidate with experience supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties and/or special educational needs. The School are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who can confidently work on a 1:1 or small group basis with pupils who may display challenging behaviours and be willing to occasionally lead lessons when required.
The candidate must have experience supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism and/or other special educational needs and the candidate must be available full time, School hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday.
The successful candidate will benefit from:
- Negotiable pay rates £57 - 67 per day
- Long term position available
- Rewarding position supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties
