Role Overview:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher and students in their learning journey. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who may need additional assistance.
- Collaborating with the classroom teacher to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Supervising students during activities and break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Monitoring and recording student progress and behavior, and providing feedback to the teacher.
- Contributing to the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
- Building positive relationships with students, parents, and other staff members.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in an educational setting, preferably at the secondary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for education and the desire to make a difference in students' lives.
