A welcoming primary school in the Tameside area is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Early Years Practitioner to join their 2-year-old room. This is a wonderful opportunity to play a key role in supporting children's development within the Early Years Foundation Stage. The position is initially temporary, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Location: Tameside SK14
Job Type: Part-time, 12.15pm-18.15pm Monday- Friday (Annual Leave with a 2-week Christmas closure)
Salary: £14.15- £15.30 per hour
Start date: November 2025 (As soon as possible)
Contract type: Temp to perm
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for 2-year-old children.
- Confidently lead key aspects of the EYFS Framework, promoting best practice.
- Foster children's learning and development through continuous provision and play-based experiences.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow support staff to maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
- Track children's progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date learning records.
Key Characteristics:
- Experience working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Holds a relevant qualification in line with current EYFS Framework guidance.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and principles of child development.
- Proactive, patient, and nurturing approach, with excellent communication skills.
- Works collaboratively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with children and colleagues.
- Possesses a valid DBS registered on the Update Service, or willing to obtain one.
- Paediatric First Aid trained (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
