SEND Learning Support Assistant – Complex Needs School – £13.75/hr – Term Time Only

Are you a caring and resilient individual with experience in schools or childcare settings? Are you passionate about supporting children with complex needs?

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a special school that caters for pupils with a wide range of complex needs. The school supports children who may use wheelchairs, need help with feeding, and require personal care as part of their daily routine. We are looking for compassionate SEND Learning Support Assistants to join the team on a flexible or long-term basis, with roles available from September or sooner.

About the Role:

  • Supporting pupils with physical and learning disabilities

  • Assisting with personal care and feeding where required

  • Promoting independence and access to learning

  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to provide holistic support

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working in a school or childcare setting

  • Have professional or personal experience supporting individuals with SEND or complex medical needs

  • Be comfortable with personal care and manual handling (training provided if needed)

  • Hold GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) in Maths and English

  • Hold a DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
