Learning Support Assistants
Contract type: Full Time
Start date: As soon as possible or after May half term
We are supporting a Special Needs School that are growing and can provide fantastic career opportunities for those working in the field of Education.
The aim of the school is to support students to develop the skills to access employment, further education, training and live as part of local community.
This school will combine teaching with positive behaviour support to help students progress in key areas of development
Your role as a Teaching and Behaviour Support:
- Providing day to day support, delivering 1:1, paired and small group teaching, and learner sessions
- Supervise and support students to engage with peers, staff and those in the local community on school visits
- Support to develop of life skills, meet their goals a with communication, independence, and participation
Successful Learning Support Assistants need to thrive under pressure and be strong with their ability to solve problems. Mental and physical resilience is key to the role as all students will have autism and other complex needs (speech and language difficulties and emotional needs). Learning Support Assistants all need to be committed to safeguarding students
