Learning Support Assistant- Sunderland

Teaching Personnel is working exclusively with an academy based in Sunderland, which caters to 4-18 year olds.

The school has requested an experienced LSA for an upcoming full-time role to support students with Autism within their Reception and Year 1 classes.

They have indicated that they require an LSA with substantial experience, who is willing to go the extra mile to help students succeed in their academic careers.

The role:

  • Supporting pupils with ASD on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Coming up with creative activities to support the pupils
  • Improving students' engagement during lessons
  • Adapting under pressure and showing initiative to cater for all specific needs
