Learning Support Assistant - full time - Imeediate start 

GBP65-80 per day

Teaching Personnel are working with a Good OFSTED graded Primary School in Garforth area of Leeds (LS25) who are looking to appoint a full time Learning Support Assistant to support Key Stage 1 for the rest of the academic year. The school is a 2 form entry primary school that has a large number of pupils with Special Educational Needs. Your role in school will be to work with Key Stage 1 pupils and small groups of pupils to help close the gap in pupil attainment after the national lockdown. This will involve working with pupils from Year 1 and Year 2 of all ability levels. Therefore the candidate applying for this role must have previous school based experience and experience with children with Special Educational Needs. 

Working as a Learning Support Assistant you will need to have up to date knowledge and experience of how to support children in the Key Stage 1 phase and must be knowledgeable of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, particularly; Reading, Writing and Maths. The ideal candidate would have an Educational based degree or, a Level 3 Qualification in Teaching and Learning. 

Position Requirements 

• Have at least 6 months experience of working with children in a school based environment 
• Hold a level 3 or higher qualification / degree
• Experience with children with Special Educational Needs
• 2 Graded references from education or childcare based employment 
• An Advanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
