Learning Support Assistant

Schools across the Tameside area are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join the support staff on a temporary basis. Due to the temporary nature of this role, the candidate will have a degree of flexibility with this position, owing to the nature of undertaking a position with Teaching Personnel.

Key aspects of this role include:

• Offering consistent guidance and support to teaching staff within lesson time,  as well as supervising pupils when needed across the school site.
• Managing pastoral issues related to individuals, ensuring that the needs of the pupil are effectively catered for in all aspects of school life.
• Supporting teachers with regards to the setting of tasks, monitoring of attendance, examination preparation and in class assessment.
• Extended individual support – this may involve working on a 1:1 basis away from mainstream lessons.
• Pay - GBP275-350 per week, based on previous experience.

. This position will end at the end of the academic year. Located in Tameside, the school is located a short distance from Manchester city centre. With several motorway links located in close proximity, as well as numerous public transport links, the school is easily accessible. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
