We are working with a number of welcoming and well-established secondary schools across Essex that are seeking talented English Teachers to join their departments from September. Opportunities are available for both experienced teachers and ECTs who are committed to delivering outstanding lessons and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated English Language and English Literature lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Support pupils of varying abilities to develop confidence in reading, writing, and communication
- Foster a love of literature and language within the classroom
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English within UK secondary schools
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent subject knowledge across KS3-KS5
- A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student development
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
