Job Vacancy: Learning Support Assistant – Wythenshawe Primary Schools

Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (term-time only)
Salary: £13.50 - £14.50
Start Date: ASAP

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing? Primary schools in Wythenshawe are seeking enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistants to join their dedicated teams.

Role Overview:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Support children with additional needs, including SEND and EAL.
  • Help create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Contribute to pupils’ social and emotional development.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting (school or nursery).
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for helping children thrive.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
