Job description

If you are looking to join a collaborative, multi-disciplinary school to deliver impactful education that caters to the individual, look no further! We are working with a specialist primary school in the Stockport area to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant.

Full-time basis and immediate start date. There is no option for part time roles.

This role is focused on those with additional needs.

Working cohesively with fellow staff, parents and students, you will be supporting the education of primary aged students with complex requirements including autism, communication and medical needs.

We are looking for individuals who have:

  • Experience in supporting young people in a school or care environment within the UK
  • Availability to work 08:30-15:30, Monday-Friday

It would also be beneficial for applicants to have:

  • Confidence in supporting instances of challenging behaviour
  • Experience of working with SEN, including complex autism and communication issues.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.

  • References for employment within the last two years
  • Safeguarding training
  • DBS on the Update Service

Due to the nature of our placements, those not currently residing in the UK are unable to be put forward for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
