SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
We are working with a specialist primary in the Stockport area to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role with an immediate start date.
The role would be focused on those with additional needs. As the school caters to primary aged pupils with complex requirements including autism, communication, physical and medical needs.
The school works in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary way; working closely with staff, students and parents to deliver an education that caters to each individual child’s needs.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant MUST have:
- Experience in supporting young people in a school or care environment within the UK
 - Availability to work 08:30-15:30, Monday-Friday
 
It would also be beneficial for applicants to have:
- Confidence in supporting instances of challenging behaviour
 - Experience of working with SEN, including complex autism and communication issues.
 - A positive and proactive attitude.

The role is subject to standard vetting checks including:
- References for employment within the last two years
 - Safeguarding training
 - DBS on the Update Service
 
There is no option for part time roles. Due to the nature of our placements, those not currently residing in the UK are unable to be put forward for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
