SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Opportunity in Wythenshawe (November Start)
Teaching Personnel is proud to be partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wythenshawe to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time position (8:30am – 3:30pm) is set to begin in November and involves providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), both one-to-one and in small group settings.
The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is dedicated to delivering a broad, balanced curriculum that supports every learner. You’ll join a collaborative and caring team focused on helping each child thrive in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver focused support to pupils with SEN, individually and in small groups
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
- Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Help maintain an inclusive, engaging, and safe classroom environment
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to promote pupil progress
- Monitor and adapt support based on individual needs
What We’re Looking For:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children with SEN
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting young learners
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- Level 2 Safeguarding certification (training available if needed)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
