Do you want to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with a range of Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties?
Teaching Personnel currently have a wide range of upcoming roles to recruit for once the schools reopen in Northumberland, supporting children with classroom based tasks and also work on a 1:1 basis supporting children with a range of educational needs including:
- Anxiety
- ADHD
- Autism
- Behavioural difficulties
- Vulnerable children
Due to the nature of this role, you must have some experience or be confident engaging with challenging behaviours. Our client would be happy to accept candidates without any education or school based experience if relevant experience has been gained in other fields that engage with supporting mental health and challenging people. Candidates with qualifications in Health and Social Care or Psychology are also highly desired.
Teaching Personnel can offer competitive rates of GBP275 - GBP350 per week as well as the opportunity to up skill your professional development by utilising our exceptional CPD Academy. You will also be supported by our specialist SEND Team who all come from backgrounds in education.
The ideal candidate will:
Essential
- Be confident engaging with challenging behaviour
- Have a nurturing and patient manner
- Willingness to undertake further training
- Have a Child Workforce Only DBS that is registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel

- Previous 1:1 work experience
