About the Opportunity

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Hounslow is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN / Intervention Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to improving outcomes for pupils requiring additional support and ensuring every child can achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering targeted interventions, supporting pupils with SEND and working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and families to create an inclusive learning environment where children can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role

The successful applicant will:

• Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups across the primary phase.
• Support pupils with SEND, including those with Autism, Speech & Language needs, SEMH and learning difficulties.
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress to ensure interventions have maximum impact.
• Work closely with class teachers to identify learning barriers and implement effective support strategies.
• Adapt learning resources and teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
• Develop and review intervention programmes aligned with EHCP targets where appropriate.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and external professionals.
• Promote inclusion, confidence and independence among learners.

The Ideal Candidate

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience working with pupils with SEND within a primary setting.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices.
• Are skilled in delivering effective interventions that accelerate pupil progress.
• Can analyse assessment data and adapt provision accordingly.
• Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Are committed to promoting high expectations and positive outcomes for all pupils.
• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
