Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Behaviour & Inclusion Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hounslow. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting children to overcome barriers to learning, develop positive relationships and thrive both academically and emotionally.
The school places a strong emphasis on nurturing the whole child, promoting positive behaviour and ensuring every pupil feels valued, supported and included. Staff work collaboratively to create a culture where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience and respect for others.
As a Behaviour & Inclusion Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the SEN team to support pupils who may require additional help with emotional regulation, social interaction, behaviour for learning or engagement within the classroom.
You will play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, make positive choices and access learning successfully, whilst contributing to a calm, safe and supportive school environment.
Applications will be considered from candidates with:
- Experience working with children in a primary school, childcare or youth support setting
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND or additional learning needs
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- The ability to build trust and positive connections with pupils
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for inclusion, wellbeing and pupil development
- An understanding of safeguarding and child-centred practice
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils requiring additional behavioural or emotional support
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Supporting emotional regulation and social skills development
- Implementing behaviour support strategies in line with school policies
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive peer relationships
- Helping create an inclusive environment where all pupils can succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
