Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Primary school situated within the town of Gainsborough, and we are seeking on their behalf an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 SEN support for pupils across Year 1 through to Year 6. This role is due to start in January and is a full time post for a minimum of 1 term.
We're looking for someone who...
Suitable candidates will be available to commit to full time working hours. You will be qualified to Level 2 as a minimum and/or have significant experience in working with children with SEN on a 1:1 basis. Experience of Autism and Team Teach training would be beneficial. A resilient and positive attitude is essential!
The role...
The role is to provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN across Key Stage 1 and 2. The successful candidate will need to establish and maintain relationships with the pupils during activities and learning tasks, feeding back to the relevant teachers on progress made. You will manage behaviour and promote independent learning, encouraging them to take responsibility for their own learning and promoting development of self-esteem. Other tasks may include assisting the class teacher in setting up the classroom for the day, preparing resources and materials.
