Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School | Bournemouth | September Start

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bournemouth. This full-time position is to start in September, offering an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives while developing your career in education.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students engage with their learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential. Each day brings something different – from supporting students in the classroom to delivering targeted interventions for those with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, or social, emotional, and mental health challenges (SEMH).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing tailored classroom support across various subjects and year groups

  • Delivering one-to-one or small group interventions

  • Supporting students with their emotional and academic development

  • Assisting with behaviour management strategies in line with school policy

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to ensure student progress

  • Helping students build confidence, resilience, and independence in their learning

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based or otherwise)

  • Availability to start in September 2025
