Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Secondary Schools
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £79 - £96 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: November 2025
Contract Type: Full-time (Transfer on to school contract)
Are you looking for a rewarding role in education, supporting students to reach their full potential? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in secondary schools across Bournemouth.
The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with additional learning needs, helping them to engage in lessons and develop their confidence. Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff, you will assist in delivering tailored support to ensure students thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:

Providing one-to-one and small-group support to students.

Assisting with classroom activities and adapting resources to meet students’ individual needs.

Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), including those with autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.

Encouraging student participation and engagement in learning.

Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
-
Contributing to students’ personal development and well-being.
Requirements:
-
Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.

An understanding of SEN and strategies to support students effectively.

A proactive and patient approach, with excellent communication skills.
-
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
-
Availability for full-time, long-term work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
