We are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Bournemouth to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, term-time only position supporting students with a range of needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Working closely with teachers and the SENCO, you’ll contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored support to students in lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions where required

  • Promoting independence and building confidence among learners

  • Supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, or additional needs

  • Encouraging engagement and a positive attitude towards learning

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A patient, caring, and motivated individual

  • Experience supporting young people (in schools, youth work, or similar settings)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A flexible approach and willingness to learn

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
