Special Needs Teaching Assistant – September 2026 Start
Locations: Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Farnborough, Hook and North Hampshire
Pay: £14.25 per hour
Hours: Full-time (Term-Time Only)
Start Date: September 2026
About the Role
We are recruiting Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join specialist schools across Hampshire from September 2026.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with additional needs both in and out of the classroom. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to help pupils engage with learning, build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals.
No two days are the same, and you'll play an important role in creating a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment where every pupil can succeed.

Available Settings
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Schools
Supporting pupils with autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, medical needs, and communication difficulties.
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Schools
Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, including those with anxiety, trauma, or behavioural challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
