Learning mentor - September 2019 - Oldham

A Secondary Pupil Referral Unit located in Failsworth are currently looking to recruit a Learning Mentor for a September 2019 start. This position commences in September and will potential involve working until the end of the academic year to July 2020. As it stands this position is temporary however, providing that you get on well the position could be a permanent role.

The Setting is a Secondary Pupil Referral Unit which is located in Failsworth and runs across 3 sites. The pupils who attend the Setting often show signs of challenging behaviour and can be prone to aggressive outbursts, so the Setting are ideally seeking Learning Mentors who have significant experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.

In order to apply for this position you should have:

- A qualification related to Youth work or Behaviour (desirable)

- A background a qualification in Psychology (desirable)

- Significant experience working with pupils who display signs of challenging behaviour

- An in-depth knowledge of crisis prevention tactics

- Experience working within a Pupil Referral Unit (desirable)
