The School
We are currently working with the local authority to provide education in core subjects English, Maths and Science, to work with looked after Children in the Warrington area.
You will be working through the local authority on various assignments providing 1:1 tuition with young people that for whatever reason cannot be within mainstream education. This could be for several reasons from pregnancy, bullying, SEMH, behavioural needs, or unaccompanied children seeking asylum.
We cater for both Primary aged and Secondary aged pupils. The needs of the pupils will vary and you can tutor up to 5 pupils each day. Their education will have to be personalised to meet their individual needs. This is a different challenge to teaching a whole class and the role offers a lot of flexibility.
The candidate
The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and resilient personality, and be able to work on their own initiative in regards to ensuring that health and safety procedures are met, and the welfare of the children. You will ideally have experience of working on a 1:1 with a variety of ability levels, from GCSE to Functional Skills. The ideal candidate will need a proven track record in teaching, and have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
What we can provide
Teaching Personnel are education specialists with 23 years experience in the field. You will be provided with your own specialist consultant who will take care of your needs and advise you through the clearing and work process. You will have access to free safeguarding training and an online diary so you can manage your work times more efficiently. You will also have access to our CPD Academy, in which you will be able to attend training courses in order to aid your personal development in your career.
