Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Portsmouth | Independent School | Upper KS2
Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire

Contract: Full-time, Term-time only (Long-term role)

About the Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in enhancing the learning experience and supporting pupil progress. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver high‑quality support, contributing to a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
- Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress
- Support the social, emotional, and academic development of learners
- Prepare classroom materials and resources
- Help maintain a calm, inclusive and well‑managed learning environment
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a committed professional with:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (non-EYFS specific) – essential
- Experience supporting pupils across Upper Key Stage 2
- A proactive, motivated, and compassionate approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting pupil development
