Schools across East Sussex are seeking educators who are committed to supporting pupils with additional needs within structured and supportive learning environments.

SEND and SEMH settings often require adults who can offer calm guidance, clear expectations and consistent support. While the work can be challenging at times, it can also be extremely rewarding for those who enjoy helping young people build confidence and succeed in education.

We are currently recruiting both teachers and classroom support staff interested in working within SEND and SEMH schools across the county.

Who We Are Looking For

These roles typically suit individuals who:

• Build positive relationships with pupils

• Are comfortable working within structured environments

• Enjoy supporting young people who may need additional guidance

Experience in SEND or SEMH is welcomed but not essential. Schools value attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

• A child-only DBS is required. If you do not currently have one, you will need to apply and pay for a DBS and register it on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
