The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre‑prepared lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Managing behaviour in line with school policies to ensure a calm, focused classroom
  • Supervising classes in a range of subjects
  • Creating a positive, supportive learning environment
  • Providing additional help to students with special educational needs or additional learning needs
  • Encouraging participation, engagement, and progress

This role enables you to gain essential classroom management skills — highly valuable for future teacher training or education‑based careers.


The Ideal Candidate

We welcome applications from individuals who have:

  • Experience supporting or working with secondary‑aged students (youth work, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering, etc.)
  • Confidence in leading groups and adapting to different subjects
  • The ability to support learners with SEN / additional needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach
  • A genuine interest in helping young people succeed

Graduates from all degree backgrounds are encouraged to apply — no teaching qualification is required.
